Sangiovese SV EFH 2014
Buon Giorgio, Bello Vino! This incredibly elegant and decadent Sangiovese is grown in the sandy, loamy soil of the Eagle Foothills AVA. It's wonderful tart cherry, black cherry and currant fruit flavors coupled with naturally high acidity makes for a perfect pairing with tomato-based sauces and dishes. The wine is framed quite nicely with fine barrel tannins and just a hint of oak spice. This wine is showing very well now and drinks like a Brunello di Montalcino! At only a 174-case production, this Eagle Foothills Sangiovese will sell out quickly.

The region enjoyed a nice warm summer with perfect diurnal swings (or night time cooling off temperatures) that allowed for picture perfect ripening conditions for whites and reds.
