This is a fruit forward, deeply colored, rich wine with round balanced acidity, lush, supple textures and flavors of blackberry and plum and black cherry.  Inky dark in color with robust tannins, this big bold wine will satisfy the the most discrimiting Malbec wine fan.

What is a Super Rhône style wine?  It's a wine made with grapes not native to the Rhône Valley, France.  So for example Grenache with other Bordeaux style fruit.

Our l'Occasione is made with Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre (classic GSM), blended with Cabernet and Malbec.  The result is a fruity and racey wine that is super food friendly.  

Thoughtfully located at over 2,800 feet in elevation on top of a knoll, our Estate Pinot Noir is cooled in late summer afternoon by shade from a high ridge in the Eagle foothills.  Careful tending of this young block produced exceptional grapes in its inaugural harvest.  The 2022 harvest carries on the tradition of excellent Pinot Noir grapes.

Named in deference to the many great Tawny Port wines from Portugal, 3 Horse Ranch Vineyards has for several years been developing our version of this delicious wine. Made from Syrah grapes using authentic, traditional techniques, we are proud to introduce our first bottling of Homage!
