Pinot Gris is typically known for it's flavor and acidity which acts as a counter-point to rich foods.   Think about drinking Pinot Gris with any meal you would typically put a squeeze of lemon on.  The refreshing wine brightens an already delicious meal, maybe even eliminating the need for a lemon.
