Sunlight on the vines, just before snowfall.

Sunlight on the Vineyard Late Fall

The play of light and shadows in the Eagle Foothills is unique to the Snake River Valley. In mid-summer, as the sun sets far to the north, the shadows come early in the evening, casting shade and cooling the grapes on predominately south facing slopes.  In mid-winter, the Eagle Foothills glow with warmth from the oblique angles of sunlight as the sun traverses the southern sky.
