Viognier is a northern Rhône style white varietal, known for its floral, aromatic notes and stone fruit flavors. Containing a pronounced silky richness that Chardonnay fans will appreciate, and enough fruit to appease sweet wine lovers. This particular grape does well blended, like in our house blend Vivacious that is a mix of Viognier and Roussanne, or on its own. In the blend Vivacious, Viognier provides beautiful floral, aromatic notes and stone fruit flavors like peach and apricot, with the Roussanne adding acidity and a little minerality on the finish. On its own Viognier exhibits a floral nose and flavors of apricot on the palate. This wine pairs well with rich-flavored foods, as well as foods with a hint of spice.
